2 Took Cash, 1 Took Stock

Deciding what to do with a gift of money, can be simple as asking advice from a parent.  However, there is an optimal choice with money these days.  One purchased a beer beverage-line to sell and became not-so-popular from a morale stand point of view.  The other cash person bought a vehicle and saw fuel prices rise.  But the one who bought stock grew the wealthiest.  What is your motto?
